Call for Artists and Creators

Red 5 Comics is a new publisher of both in-house and creator-owned comics. Our exciting future plans will be fueled by working with great professional-level talent — both established and undiscovered.

We are currently looking for comic artists for immediate and future freelance positions… particularly inkers, colorists and letterers. Click here to contact us.

Red 5 Comics is always open to taking a look at creator-owned projects that meet our submissions guidelines.

NOTE: If you have applied in the past, we ask that you please re-submit your information as we have a new talent tracking system that will allow us to be much more efficient than we have been. Thank you for your understanding.

I am neither an inker, colorist, or letterer in particular but I am an artist who loves to work on cool cinematic-style storylines in a variety of styles. I will be following your launch, hope all goes well. Let me know if my skills fit anything you might want to pursue in any future projects.

    Hey there,

I am an independant writer/artist. I saw your call yo artists and, while I’m not really and inker, I have done my own coloring and lettering. I’m also looking to publish a graphic novelization of the Mineport cartoon found on my website. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming stories.

    Dear Red 5 Comics,

I wanted to follow up with you about the possibility of contributing artwork. (You had previously replied to my emails, stating that you would be interested in working with me.)

I think I’d make a good cover artist, as I’ve worked as a professional illustrator from time to time, including book covers. (In Novemebr 2004, I was selected the “Digital Artist of the Month” by the jury of the art gallery website, Digital Consciousness.)

You can view samples of my work here:

On a side note, I am also a screenwriter and novelist, with the rights to one of my books now being developed into a stage musical. My most recent screenplay, for an animated adventure film called “In the Footsteps of Thaddeus Thackeray,” was recently chosen as the best script of 2006 by a Hollywood blogger/scriptreader, “The Unsung Critic”; I’m hoping to turn it into a graphic novel.

Please get back to me should you have any questions or comments.

    Adam McDaniel
