Atomic Robo Grabs Two Eisner Nominations
Sometimes touted as the “Oscars” of the comic book industry, the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards today announced the nominees for their 2008 awards, to be presented at San Diego Comic-Con International in July.
Red 5 Comics is incredibly proud of the Atomic Robo team, who were honored with two nominations. Atomic Robo Volume 1 was nominated for “Best Limited Series”, and Ronda Pattison was nominated as “Best Colorist” for her work on Robo.
Previous winners of “Best Limited Series” include Watchmen, Kingdom Come, Marvels and Batman: The Long Halloween. To have our favorite wise-cracking robot-in-pants in consideration of such company is a great thing.
In just our sixth month of production, Red 5 would once again like to thank everyone who has supported us thus far.
In case you missed Atomic Robo Volume 1, the trade paperback collecting the hard-to-find series is available for pre-order now (Diamond code APR084084) from comic shops everywhere, and also for pre-order online at Amazon.com.
