Web Talks Red 5 Summer Titles

Geeks of Doom catches up on Neozoic #3, #4 and #5…

I missed the first issue, but caught on with the second, and now with these three issues, I have to admit that this is a really good series, with lot’s of action, and a crap ton of dinosaurs.

ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction

Comics Bulletin reviews the first issue…

Grevioux has come up with a pretty interesting twist on the de rigor (mortis) zombie tale, finds a squirming bloody wound in our national psyche, and appears to be having fun smashing the two together. File under the “I wish I had thought of that” category.

Independent Comic Site says,

The solution is simple: Air-drop in Zombies. Yeah, thats pretty proactive, I mean come on, if the real President had done this I would be “@#$% Yeah, Awesome!”, the ratings on CNN would go through the roof, people would be wearing tasteless T-Shirts stating how proud they were of their son/daughter who died in Iraq and still kept on fighting, or rather kept on munching.

Atomic Robo Volume 1

Comic Book Resources talks to Robo creators Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener about the up-coming series…

“We’re just doing World War II this time,” Clevinger said before backing up. “Well, that’s not entirely true. Due to their popularity last time around, every issue of this series will include mini-comics. And those will show us glimpses of non-WWII adventures. I really enjoyed how the first series was able to play with different eras within the same narrative, but I think from here on out we’ll concentrate on particular time periods or particular themes. This time World War II is our framework. For the series after this one, [it] will pit Robo against a threat in the ‘20s, and it should end in the modern day, but a single event from 1908 ties it all together.”

Comics Bulletin reviews Atomic Robo: Volume 1 trade paperback…

Atomic Robo is simply fantastic. It seems like Clevinger has really gotten into the groove and he knows how to tell a story.
